We believe in access to the arts for marginalized youth. Every child in every town, including Aliquippa, should have the opportunity to see and to create beautiful things. This is true regardless of what neighborhood a youth lives in or how much money their family might earn.
Throughout the year, we attempt to connect Aliquippa students with artists from around the country. So far, youth have participated in art programming surrounding theater, music, photography, and drawing and painting because of our programs. When people see the artwork our students are capable of creating, they are consistently amazed at the ability of our students. Through artwork, the youth of our community have a platform on which to tell their own stories and have their voices heard. We believe the stories of our youth are worth hearing.
